God Promises Abundance And Joy For Jacob's Descendants
The Lord declared a future time when the descendants of Jacob would come and shout for joy on the height of Zion, streaming to the goodness of the Lord. They would experience an abundance of grain, new wine, and oil, as well as lambs and calves. Their souls would be like a well-watered garden, and they would never languish again, for God promised to satisfy the soul of the priests with fatness and His people with His goodness.
So they will come and shout for joy on the height of Zion, And they will stream to the goodness of Yahweh— To the grain, to the new wine, to the oil, And to the young of the flock and the herd. And their soul will be like a well-watered garden, And they will never languish anymore.” “Then the virgin will rejoice in the dance, And the young men and the old together; For I will turn their mourning into joy And comfort them and make them glad, far from their sorrow. I will satisfy the soul of the priests with fatness, And My people will be satisfied with My goodness,” declares Yahweh.
