God's Constant Guiding Cloud Over The Tabernacle
During Israel's forty years of wandering in the wilderness, God miraculously demonstrated His constant presence and leadership through a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. This divine presence continuously covered the Tabernacle, dictating every movement and encampment of the vast multitude. When the cloud lifted, Israel moved; where it settled, they camped, ensuring that their journey through the barren lands was entirely under the sovereign direction of Yahweh. This daily, visible manifestation of God's guidance sustained them through every season, including the early winter months of Cheshvan.
On the day that the tabernacle was raised up, the cloud covered the tabernacle, the tent of the testimony; and at evening there was like the appearance of fire over the tabernacle, until morning... So it was continually; the cloud would cover it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.
