Noah And Family Enter The Ark Before The Deluge

After God warned Noah of the impending global flood and commanded him to build an ark, a period of patient waiting culminated in a solemn command. Just seven days before the deluge began, Noah, his family, and all the animals God had gathered, entered the massive vessel. This act of obedience marked the final preparation for humanity's judgment and God's miraculous preservation, all unfolding in the autumn season leading up to the great cosmic downpour.

And it came about after the seven days that the waters of the flood came upon the earth.
— Genesis 7:10 LSB
Timeline Box: Genesis 7:10 indicates that “after the seven days” the flood began. Genesis 7:11 specifies the flood’s onset as the “seventeenth day of the second month” (17 Cheshvan, civil calendar), placing the entry into the ark and the preceding seven-day countdown around 10-16 Cheshvan in the Patriarchal Era (c. 2348 BC). This fits “within a few days” of 14 Cheshvan.
